'Officer Rimmer' is Chris Barrie's personal Episode from start to finish. The idea of multiple Rimmers that has seen before in Rimmerworld and Blue from seasons VI and VII, but it's hasn't been as impressive as it was in this week's episode. The officers' club packed full of copies of Rimmer was hilarious and the Rimmer barbershop quartet was one of my personal favourites.
Even though this episode is focused on Chris Barrie, the other crewmen are given great lines throughout the episode's running time. Another hilarious moment is when Lister discovers his body is on the bio-printer's database due to selling his genome for cigarettes and money, and is used by top companies for 'cheap' labour. Mainly call centres.
The one issue I have with this episode is the ending, is it a cliffhanger? It just ends abruptly and unlike past episodes that has been three episodes long, they've all been titled as Part 1, 2 and 3. But the final line from the Rimmer monster makes up for it and will always be a fan favourite - I can't help but reference it whenever someone mentions a pen.
Overall 'Officer Rimmer' is a great character Episode with brilliant special effects, therefore I award it 9/10 Arnold Rimmers.
